Ruby Ann Miller

Ruby Ann (Hart) Miller, age 93 of Centralia, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Centralia Manor, surrounded by her family. She was born September 15, 1922 in Paris, Tennessee, daughter of Ebenezer Hart and Millie (Garner) Hart. She married Lloyd Miller on July 2, 1940 and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1995.Ruby is survived by three children, Barbara Sensel and husband Wesley of Centralia, Harold Miller and wife Mary of Centralia, and Pat Little of Centralia; seven grandchildren, Kim Wernsman and husband Ron of Centralia, Rob Finley of Centralia, Anthony Miller and wife Karen of Jacksonville, Corey Miller of Centralia, Jason Miller and Tina of Centralia, Wayne Miller and wife Summer of Centralia, Christy Helpingstine and husband Dan of Centralia; twelve great-grandchildren, Kenda Hyde and husband Chase of Centralia, Nick Wernsman and fiancé Chelsea Bradley of Centralia, Josh Finley and Megan of Maryville, Jeremy Finley and wife Natalie of Hoffman, Clay Schnitker and Chelsea of Jacksonville, Alyssa Miller of Jacksonville, Megan Kelso of Centralia, Sarah Miller of Centralia, Ethan Miller of Centralia, Andrew Miller of Centralia, Nate Helpingstine of Centralia, and Jacob Helpingstine of Centralia; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Solon Hart; a son-in- law, Rich Little; and a granddaughter, Carrie Ann Little.Ruby was a member of Central City Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class and the Kitchen Committee. She was also a member of the Marion County Home Extension and a past Girl Scout Volunteer. Ruby and her husband, Lloyd were co-owners of Miller Superette and Trucking Services for 40 years. Ruby enjoyed cooking, baking, playing dominos, and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed sewing, crochet, and crafting. Most of all she loved traveling with her family and spending time with family and friends.Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Claude Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be made to Central City Baptist Church and the Shriners Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home, which is assisting the family with arrangements.
