Mary Nora Jeffers

Mary Elnora Jeffers, a beloved member of the Kinmundy, Illinois community, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on September 29, 1948 in Hoxie, Arkansas to Leonard and Rosemary (Reynolds) Graham. A dedicated homemaker throughout her life, Nora was the heart of her family and her love for her family and grandchildren was evident in all she did. Nora found great joy in playing poker and trying her luck at the slot machines. Her passion for antique shopping and exploring flea markets was well-known among her friends. Nora also cherished the simple pleasure of listening to old music and dancing, a pastime that filled her heart with joy. She was of the Baptist faith. Nora is survived by her special friend, Nolan Wooden; her loving daughter, Lisa Baird and husband Billy of Walnut Hill; her bonus son, Chris Graham and his wife, Kerri of Vandalia. She also leaves behind her siblings, brother Monte Joe Graham and his wife Kerry of Centralia, sisters Marsha Kretzer of Dix, and Monecia Boozer and her husband Lee of Centralia and brother-in-law, Perry Pennington and sister-in-law: Patty Graham of Centralia. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Brittany Donaldson, Josh Faught, Sydney Winkel and her husband Cameron, and Christopher Freeman, as well as her great-grandchildren Chloe, Jaxtin, Parker, and Maggie. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and her life long best friend, Pam Scott. Nora was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Rosemary (Reynolds) Graham; her brothers, Mackie Graham, Michael Graham, and infant brother Dale Graham; her sister, Marla Pennington; special friend Richard Boothman; brother-in-law, Cecil Kretzer; and sister-in-law, Sharon Graham. A graveside service will be held at Sandoval City Cemetery at a later date to honor her life and legacy..
