Juanita Skibinski

Juanita Skibinski, 84, of Centralia departed this life, September 25, 2012 at Fireside Nursing Home in Centralia. Juanita was born June 30, 1928 at Bristow, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Wilburn (Bill) & Luania Smith. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Lincoln Hunt and Ed Wood; son by marriage Mick Skibinski; a brother, Carl Wayne Smith. She was an R.N. and retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Skibinski; her daughter and son-in-law Doris and Jerry Housewright of O’Fallon, MO; daughter and son-in-law Georgianna and Michael Sutton of Paragould, AR; son and daughter-in-law Terry and Phyllis Hunt of Dale, IL; and a son Larry Hunt of Jonesboro, AR. She loving embraced as her own children her children by marriage: daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Dean Phillips of Kent, WA; Son and daughter-in-law Rick and Ann Skibinski of Madison, MS; daughter Tyann of Centralia; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and George Smith of Centralia. 33 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by two brothers, Jim “Wallace” Smith and wife Patty of Flemington, MO and Adrian Leon Smith and wife Lynn of Bluford, IL. She loved and was loved by Phillip’s sisters and brother: Margie and Dave Garcia, Mary and Bob Street, Frieda Manion, Sherry and Dave Redmond and Jimmie Skibinski. Juanita professed her faith in Christ at a very young age. She lived the Christian faith in front of her children in the home. When she moved to Centralia, she became a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and was active as long as her health allowed. Funeral Services for Juanita Skibinski will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Allen and Pastor Mike Cash officiating. Burial will follow at Richview Cemetery in Richview. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eternity Baptist Church or the Richview Cemetery and will be accepted at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, where friends may inquire for further information.
