Jalil Baker

Jalil Baker left this world on April 1, 2026, at the age of 37. Jalil was born and raised in Centralia, Illinois, a place he called home throughout his life. He is the son of Charles Baker and Tina Foutch. Jalil was a dedicated and hardworking individual, employed in the oil field, where his commitment and determination shone brightly. Outside of work, he was a man of many passions. A devoted follower of the Christian faith, Jalil found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like cooking and sharing meals with his family and friends. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, with a particular fondness for the Dallas Cowboys and MMA. Jalil didn't just watch; he actively participated in MMA fights, achieving victory numerous times. Surviving Jalil is a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He leaves behind his father, Charles Baker; his mother, Tina Foutch; his stepmother, Cambryn Baker, and his step-father: Jerome Howard, Sr., all of Centralia. He was a proud father to his children, Landyn, Bailey, and Layla Baker, who were the light of his life. Jalil is also survived by his brothers, Jarren Baker, Joshua Foutch, Jared Simcox, Jerome Howard, Jr.(Brittany), all of Centralia, as well as Cole Gentz of Cleveland, OH, and Jordan Sanders and JaVari Baker, both of Centralia. His sisters, Justyce Berger and her husband Charlie of Centralia, JaLisa Howard of Cleveland, OH, Joy Howard of Cleveland, OH, Alicia Armstrong of Ohio; Aunt: Debra Fletcher of Centralia, special friend: Marie Hernandez of Centralia and her daughter: Marlaina, will cherish his memory alongside many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jalil was preceded in death by his cherished sister, Jazi, his Granny Gale Morgan, his Aunt: Crissy Morgan, and his Uncle: Charles Fletcher. Their memories, like his, will continue to inspire and guide the family. A Celebration Of Life will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Crossroads Church in Centralia.
