Terry Reese

April 30, 1959 - January 25, 2022

Terry Randall “Randy” Reese, 62, of Alton (formerly of Odin) passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis surrounded by his family. Randy was born April 30, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, the son of JD Reese and Beulah Mae (Wilkes) Crunk. He married Jana (Phelps) Reese on October 18, 1985 in Shattuc, and she survives him in Alton. In addition to his wife Jana, Randy is survived by his mother: Beulah Crunk; three children: Bradley Mathus of Odin, Stacy Curry and husband Anthony of Bridgeton, MO, and Nicholas Reese and wife Catarina of Odin; ten grandchildren: Michael Fields, Ryan Mathus, Mathew Mathus, Aliya Curry, Tristan Curry, Joshua Curry, Camden Peak, Nora Peak, Hudson Reese, and Louis Reese; one brother: Ernie Reese and wife Diane of Central City; mother-in-law: Irene Villarreal and husband Felipe of Avon Park, FL; father-in-law: Donald Phelps of Centralia; one brother-in-law: Donald Phelps and wife Amber of Centralia; two sisters-in-law: Tina Weyler and Mike Weyler of Alabama and Joanie Phelps of Chicago; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Randy was preceded in death by his father: JD Reese; one sister-in-law: Cecil Reese; paternal grandparents: William and Emma Reese; and maternal grandparents: Sterling and Alice Wilks. When Randy was younger, he enlisted in the Marines for six years. He enjoyed reading, playing chess, and playing video games in his later years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and attending family cookouts. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2022 at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm. Memorial donations can be made to the family and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street Centralia, Illinois 62801, (618)532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Reese Family.
