Richard Martin "Marty" Williams

Richard Martin "Marty" Williams, 58 of Salem, Illinois passed away January 20, 2022 at SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Illinois. Born August 18, 1963 in Alma, Illinois, he was the son of Loren R. and Lottie Ellen (Gregory) Williams. They precede him in death. Marty was a graduate of Salem Community High School. He loved his family, going fishing with his son, riding his bike, had a fascination with fire trucks and equipment, spending time at the Kell Fire Department when possible with his son. He will be long remembered as a faithful Green Bay Packers fan. He was of the Christian faith. Surviving is his son Tyler Williams and wife Dorothy of Centralia, IL, his granddaughter Arianna Marie Williams-Timmons, Tyler's mother Paula Hays of Salem, IL, his foster sister, Mary Lou Cessna of Alma, IL. and foster grandchildren Hunter Timmons and Oliver Deidrich. The family will gather with friends for a time of visitation, Tuesday January 25, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, followed by funeral service in the chapel of Sutherland - Rankin Funeral Home, with Dr. Andy DeWitt officiating.
