Donald Patrick Boothman, Sr.

January 23, 1937 - July 8, 2020

Donald Patrick Boothman, Sr., 83, of Centralia, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. He was born January 23, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Charles and Mildred (Martin) Boothman. Don is survived by his significant other: Judy Ericksen of Centralia: two Sons: Donald Boothman, Jr. and wife Beth of Sandoval, Ronald Boothman and wife Cynthia of Centralia; two daughters: Patricia Boxx and husband Ricky of Junction City, Sheila Timmons and husband Jeff of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Step-daughter: Tonya Meyer and husband Jim of Centralia; Step-son: Richard Sligar of Centralia; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother: Richard Boothman of Centralia; two sisters: Rosemary Beasley of Utah and Carol Murray of Odin; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Don is preceded in death by his parents : Charles and Mildred Boothman; brother: Charles Boothman; sister: Charlotte "Shug" Wilkins; and a grandson: Jason Boothman. Don was a laborer for Egyptian Concrete Company before retiring. He served in the US Army and was a member of the 15th Street Church of God. He loved being outdoors, whether it be riding on his lawn mower, taking walks with Judy, or just enjoy tinkering , the outdoors was where you could find him. Don cherished the time he spent with his family. Funeral Services for Don will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 12:01 P.M. with Pastor Jason Wyman officiating at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M. to time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends who are planning to come to the visitation and funeral service will be required to wear face masks and social distancing will be followed with a limited amount of people entering the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 N.
