Bonnie Pond Williams

Bonnie Pond Williams, 58, of Salem, IL passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in her home with her husband by her side. Bonnie was born March 6, 1963 in Colonial Heights, VA., to Thomas and Patricia (Orr) Pond. She married Ken Williams on August 31, 1996 in Colonial Heights and he survives in Salem. In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by her three children, Kyle Williams and fiancée Jennifer, both if Salem, Troy Grantham and fiancée Anna, of Salem and Lauryn Ashleigh Williams of Salem; three grandchildren, Cameron and Hayden Grantham and Cylas Greenberg, all of Salem; a brother, Thomas Pond of Virginia and many special friends who she loved like family. Bonnie was a homemaker and of the Christian faith. She truly enjoyed the gathering of friends and family to share a meal and never let anyone leave hungry. She loved to laugh and socialize with her circle of friends, many with whom she remained close for more than 30 years. Bonnie and her husband shared the same closing at the end of each phone call or when leaving their company, "love ya, see ya," because she never wanted to say "good-bye," and she never did. Bonnie asked for her passing to be a celebration of the life she lived, the family she loved and the friends that she held dear. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sherill Adcock and a brother -in-law, Troy Williams. A private graveside service will be held on Friday March 4, 2022 at Paradise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like everyone who knew and loved Bonnie to reach out to a friend, neighbor, stranger or acquaintance and initiate a random act of kindness in her name.
