William Houser

William "Bill" Houser, 70, of Centralia, passed away Monday, September 16, 2019 at his home. He was born April 25, 1949 in Centralia, son of Waldo "John" Houser and Charlotte (McDonald) Houser. He married Ruth Lewis and they later divorced. Bill is survived by his two children: Henry "Hank" William Houser and wife Lori of Milton, Florida and Jessica Charlotte Lewis Houser of Louisiana; a grandson: Skyler Houser of Milton, Florida; three brothers: Ralph Houser and wife Marcia of Oklahoma, Bob Houser of Centralia, and Wayne Houser and wife Vickie of Centralia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Waldo "John" and Charlotte Houser, three brothers: Gerard Houser, James Houser and John D. Houser, and a nephew: Allen Houser. Bill served in the U.S. Navy from March 17, 1969 to February 27, 1970. After receiving a Medical Honorable Discharge from the Navy he went to work for Prairie Farms. In 1987 he started working at the Computer Science Inc. in Virginia, where he became an electrician that assisted with wiring rockets for the U.S. Government. He later retired in 1997. Bill loved listening to music, he named his children after his favorite artists: Hank Williams and Jessi Coulter, he also loved listening to Waylon Jennings, ZZ Top and the Grateful Dead. He was an avid gun advocate. Bill loved his two children: Henry “Hank” William Houser and Jessica Charlotte Lewis Houser. A Visitation for William "Bill" Houser will be held Monday, September 23, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia with Pastor Steve Upchurch officiating. Military Honors will be accorded at the gravesite by the American Legion Post 446 and V.F.W. Post 2055. Memorial donations may be made to the D.A.V.
