Teresa "Terri" Castleman

Teresa "Terri" Castleman, 66, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, surrounded by her family. Terri was born May 12, 1953 in Breese, daughter of John Montacue and Jean (Newkirk) Montacue. She married Steve Castleman on February 14, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death on September 16, 2015. She is survived by three sons, Matthew Castleman and wife Monica of Vandalia, IL and Ryan Castleman and wife Annie of Centralia, IL and John Andrews of Centralia, IL; ten grandchildren, Reagan Castleman, Charlie Castleman, Jordan Castleman, Kaid Walker, Hattie Castleman, Tillie Castleman, Zamora Andrews, Rhea Young, Juniper Castleman and Jhovany Castleman; three sisters: Karen Montacue of St. Louis, MO, Janet Myers and husband Chris of Moline, IL, and Kelly Kampwerth and husband Kevin of South Carolina; and six nieces: Laura, Andrea, Leah, Madison, Marissa, and Kathelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents: John & Jean Montacue, husband: Steve Castleman, and a brother: John Montacue. Terri was raised in Carlyle. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with her Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Education. Terri was a Special Education Teacher for the Centralia City Schools and KSED for 36 years until she retired in 2014. She was a member of the Greenview Christian Church in Centralia. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. Terri enjoyed taking care of her pets. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service for Teresa "Terri" Castleman will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Wesley Miller officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
