Mildred Louise Biagi

Mildred L. Biagi, 98, of Central City, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Odin Healthcare Center. She was born May 19, 1922 in Mount Ida, AR, the daughter of Edward Pate and Mary (Reid) Pate. She married Dante Biagi on March 3, 1940 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2006 after 66 years of marriage. Mildred is survived by her three sons: Dante Biagi, Jr. and wife Katherine of Foristell, MO, Michael Biagi and wife Amber of Centralia, and Tony Biagi and wife Donna of Centralia; nine grandchildren: Brian Biagi, Greg Biagi and wife Mika, Mark Biagi and wife Carolyn, Chris Biagi and wife Elizabeth, Tami Meyers and husband Raymond, Nikki Smith and husband Brian, Adam Biagi and wife Molly, Matthew Biagi and wife Amanda, and Kaitlyn Biagi and Nick Prunty; sixteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one brother: William Pate and wife Nora Bell of Beckemeyer; one sister: Naomi Hyatt and husband Paul of Owensville, IN; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Mary Pate; husband: Dante Biagi; and a great grandson: Carter Smith. In her younger years, Mildred worked for The Dress Factory as a bundler for nine years. Mildred drove a bus route for Central City School for twelve years before she retired. Following her retirement, she continued to drive a bus part time for BCMW Head Start for an additional six and a half years. She also spent several years as a precinct committeewoman in Precinct 11. She was an active charter member of the Central City Lioness Club. Along, with spending time with her family, Mildred was an avid Bingo player, loved to gamble and playing cards with all her family. She loved spending time and cooking for her family. Funeral Services for Mildred L. Biagi will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Family and friends who are planning to come to the visitation and funeral service will be required to wear face masks and social distancing will be followed with a limited amount of people entering the funeral home.
