Frankie J. Meier

Frankie Jean Meier, 77, of Centralia died on May 6, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. She was born on December 22, 1935 in Jefferson County, Georgia the daughter of Frank and Alfa (Thompson) Black. She married Ralph Meier on July 2, 1954 and he survives her in Centralia. In addition to her husband Frankie is survived by two sons Gary Meier and wife Debra of Patoka and Tracy Meier and wife Leigh of Elizabethtown, PA; one daughter Mary Etheridge and husband Mike of Hoffman; one brother Archie Black and wife Nell of Augusta, GA; three sisters Barbara Richardson of Augusta, Mary Frances Jones of Augusta, and Sandy Black of Augusta, grandchildren Chris Meier, Laura Meier, Alex Meier, Casey Meier, Kara Bach and husband Curt, Mike Etheridge Jr. and wife Erin, Michelle Pieron and husband Brandon, and Justin Etheridge and wife Shannon; 13 great grandchildren Ashton, Brenden and Kamryn Pieron, Olivia, Elise, Grace and Luke Etheridge, Aubrey, Maddox and Jaxon Etheridge, Conner Newkirk, Zach Bach, and Dominic Newcomb; one sister in law Mary Meier of Hoffman; four brother-in-laws Ed Meier and wife Kate and Clarence Meier and wife Lorraine of Hoffman , Earl Meier and wife Carolyn of Hillsboro, and David Meier of Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Ida Hill, mother in law Myrtle Meier and father in law Otto Meier, five brother-in-laws Kenny Hill, Oscar Richardson, Eddie Jones, and Charlie Meier, Leon Thouvenin and wife Mary.Mrs. Meier was a former employee of Rockwell. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, playing the piano, traveling and camping. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Meier will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Lakeside Chapel with Pastor Paul Mount officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the chapel. Memorials can be made to the Central City Baptist Church or the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
